A before-and-after compresses weeks into one frame. Between the two photos there were sessions spaced 6–8 weeks apart, with the pigment continuing to fade while the skin healed in between. The “after” is wherever that patient chose to stop, which is not always bare skin.
A good share of brow and lip clients want the old color softened rather than gone: enough to stop a gray or salmon cast showing through, or enough for their artist to start over cleanly. A lightening plan is usually shorter and costs less in total, and Neoderma will time it around your artist's appointment.
Two tattoos that look alike on screen can behave very differently under a laser. Pigment brand and color, what was mixed into it, how deep it went and how many touch-ups were layered on top all change the count, and none of that is visible in a photo. Older, lighter work has sometimes cleared in a single visit, but no one can guarantee it. You get a transparent estimate at your consultation, adjusted as your pigment responds.

No. Plenty of people only want old pigment lightened, to correct a color that turned cool or to give a new artist a clean canvas. That plan usually means fewer sessions and a lower total than full removal.
